Missouri sales tax holiday means savings on certain appliances
If you're in the market for a new appliance or two, you may be in luck in Missouri next week.

Missourians can skip the sales tax on qualifying appliances April 19-25 as part of the Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.
Appliances include ENERGY STAR appliances. Tax will be exempt for up to $1,500 per appliance.
Here's which ENERGY STAR appliances qualify:
- Clothing washers
- Clothing dryers
- Water heaters
- Dishwashers
- Air conditioners
- Furnaces
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Heat pumps
While it is a Missouri tax holiday, you do not need to be a Missouri resident to purchase items tax-exempt.
Online purchases of select appliances will also be exempt.
The tax exemption begins at 12:01 a.m. April 19 and ends at midnight on April 25.
