(Buffalo, NY) – New York Governor Kathy Hochul was on the scene upstate as workers added the last piece of the steel frame to the new Highmark stadium. Two years after the groundbreaking, the actual stadium is starting to take shape. Franchise owner Terry Pegula thanked the more than 3,500 workers who labored through some brutal cold the past two years. Pegula called it the “topping off” ceremony as crews still have to work on finishing the structure. It’s the official halfway point in the project, as doors are set to open in time for the 2026 NFL season. The $2.1 million stadium will keep the Bills in their hometown of Buffalo for at least the next three decades.
