Top-order batter Mark Deyal has returned to the Trinbago Knight Riders in a swap deal with spinner Khary Pierre traded to the St Lucia Kings.

Deyal played only four matches for the TKR between 2015 and 2019 before moving to the St Lucia Kings, where he played 25 matches between 2020 to 2022.

He scored 391 runs at 17.77 with the Kings and took seven wickets at 30.71 per wicket.

Deyal was part of the St Lucia Kings team that finished runners-up in the 2020 and 2021 CPL tournaments.

Pierre, who has been with the Knight Riders since 2017 where he has won three CPL titles, has taken 40 wickets at 25.35.

While he has batted only 11 times in his 44 matches with the Knight Riders, Pierre hit 10 off five balls to hand the TKR a two-wicket victory over the Barbados Tridents (now Royals) in a 2020 CPL match at the Queen's Park Oval.

The Trinbago Knight Riders, in recent weeks, have announced the return of Dwayne Bravo to his home franchise and the hiring of Phil Simmons as head coach.

The 2023 CPL tournament runs from 16 August to 24 September 2023.

Six CPL matches will be played in Trinidad and Tobago between 5-10 September.
