Tom Seaman

Tom Seaman has been promoted to co-CEO at Catamount Constructors. Seaman joined Catamount in 2003 and has held numerous positions with the company, including vice president of operations, senior vice president, and most recently, COO. 

James Benning

James Benning has been hired to also serve as Catamount’s co-CEO. 

Amy Clark

SmithGroup has hired Amy Clark to serve as a workplace strategist based at the company’s Denver office. With more than 18 years of experience, she will expand SmithGroup’s network of clients seeking customized workplace strategy services. Clark comes to SmithGroup most recently from worldwide commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, where she served as a workplace strategist. 

Danny Gumm

Danny Gumm has been promoted to concrete division manager at Sundt Construction Inc. He will oversee one of the industry’s largest concrete workforces, which annually performs millions of hours of structural, architectural and industrial concrete work. During his 28-year career with Sundt, Gumm has been a field engineer, estimator, concrete superintendent, project manager, preconstruction project manager and, most recently, the concrete division operations manager.

Allison (Ali) McGreal

Burns & McDonnell has hired Allison (Ali) McGreal as a project manager for pipeline projects on natural gas utilities. McGreal has more than 14 years of experience in client program development, project management and design for oil and natural gas pipelines and pipeline facilities. 

Jennifer Bell

The firm also has hired Jennifer Bell as a department manager for environmental studies and permitting. She leads a team of scientists and environmentalists who provide environmental and right-of-way services for electric transmission, energy development and other infrastructure projects. 

Josh Klein

Hensel Phelps has promoted Josh Klein to general superintendent. Klein’s portfolio of work with Hensel Phelps totals more than $1.4 billion throughout his 20-year career. Currently, he is building the Colorado Convention Center Expansion project in Denver.

Michael Green

Michael Green has 14 years of experience across many institutional project types, including K-12, higher education and health care facilities; manufacturing; laboratories and municipal projects.

Craig Perry

Craig Perry is an electrical engineer who has spent 25-plus years designing health care, institutional and commercial facilities. 

Ryan Lee

Ryan Lee has designed HVAC and utility systems for complex facilities, including laboratory, higher education and manufacturing projects.

Philip Terry has nine years of experience designing multiple types of electrical systems for higher education, K-12 schools, research laboratories and the aerospace industry. 

Lisa Sakata

HNTB has hired Lisa Sakata as environmental practice lead and associate vice president. Sakata will help build and grow the environmental practice at HNTB’s Denver office and across its Northwest division. 

Al Paxton

Encore Electric has named Al Paxton as its first chief people officer. With a background in strategic leadership and human resources through his career as a senior leader in the U.S. Army, Paxton will bring together all components of human resources, learning and development, and engagement.

Andrew Lauda

Andrew Lauda has returned to CSHQA after working for the firm from 2013-2016 as an architect-in-training. Lauda is now a senior architect III, licensed in Idaho.

Shelley Bouck has joined CSHQA as an interior designer III. She brings 30-plus years of experience in hospitality, multifamily, commercial, educational and residential design.

Also, Ciarra Dye has joined the firm as an architect-in-training intern in the Boise office. Dye will provide general architectural support on commercial and retail projects while she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Idaho in Boise.

The Idaho Transportation Dept. has made several changes to the department’s executive leadership team. Dan McElhinney will serve as the department’s next chief deputy this May and also will retain his role as chief operations officer. Chief Administrative Officer Char McArthur and Chief Human Resources Officer Brenda Williams also will continue to serve on the executive team. New to the team is Mollie McCarty, who will serve as the department’s first chief external affairs officer, managing the governmental affairs and communication offices.

Howell Construction recently added several members to its team. 

Steve Jackson

Steve Jackson joins Howell as a superintendent, bringing 24 years of experience working on commercial office and multifamily projects. 

Mark Laverty

Mark Laverty joins Howell as project manager with 21 years of experience working on projects in the education, office and health care sectors. 

Mindy Frink

Mindy Frink joins Howell as marketing director. With 16 years of AEC industry marketing experience, she has worked for an integrated design-build firm as well as a national general contractor.

Cherwinski, Griffith, Meeks

Also recently hired at Howell are Ben Cherwinski, Erik Griffith and Gabrielle Meek.

Cherwinski joins the firm’s estimat-ing department, bringing two years experience as an estimator for mid-size construc-tion companies in Denver and Arizona. He graduated from Michigan State University in 2011 with a degree in mechanical engineering and for nine years after graduating, worked in engineering design. 

Griffith joins the firm as a project manager with 19 years of experience working on projects in the education, commercial, worship and public sectors across the Western U.S. Meek joins Howell as marketing coordinator. She earned her undergraduate degree in integrated strategic communication and completed two internships at the U.S. Capitol.

Vittoria Zucchelli

Vittoria Zucchelli is an engineer-in-training with Geo-Logic Associates and its affiliates, working out of the firm’s Denver office. She works on environmental and solid waste engineering projects and brings specialized expertise in landfill gas systems, including design and operation data review and analysis.

R&R Engineers-Surveyors Inc. has hired Kevin Kucharczyk as the firm’s survey manager. Kucharczyk joins R&R with more than 25 years of experience in land surveying, including fieldwork as an instrument operator and crew chief, office survey CAD technician and project manager. 

Adam Harding

Adam Harding, a partner at Denver’s Roth Sheppard Architects, has received the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Colorado Boulder Program in Environmental Design. He joined Roth Sheppard Architects in 2004 after graduating from CU Boulder. Harding has been involved with AIA Colorado, working on the board of directors for the past four years and served as the chapter’s 2020 president.
