LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gas leak in Louisville's Gardiner Lane neighborhood exposed four people to high levels of carbon monoxide.

According to Louisville Fire, the leak was reported around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Bardstown Road, near the Watterson Expressway.

EMS helped four people who were exposed to the CO, and one person went to the hospital. 

Firefighters conducted air monitoring tests and discovered the high levels of carbon monoxide. 

Louisville Gas & Electric found the leak in an air handling unit on the roof. Firefighters said after the leak was controlled, CO readings dropped about three hours later.
